.sln Issue

I read through the getting started guide and installed Visual C# Express 2008 for the .sln files. When I try to open .sln files, nothing happens. I opened up Visual Express and dragged the file into it, and received the error that 'Test Server.csproj' cannot be opened because its project type (.csproj) is not supported by this version of the application.

Any ideas?

This has been solved. Please read my post below if you have this problem

Hi Absolute.

I just downloaded and installed VS Express C# 2008 on a blank windows image to test that everything works as it should. The sln opens as it should (A screenshot can be seen here http://o.ogmy.com/ef1abef297a77fc70ad117ddf244f13d.png)

The project files can be seen on the right. If yours look like this, hit F5 to start the serverside project.

Wow, I feel really bad that I didn't ever check back on this. I found out my problem, and it was a simple mistake! I downloaded the Visual Basic Express Edition instead of the Visual C#. Since .sln comes packed in the C#, I didn't ever really have what I needed to open up the .sln.

Silly mistakes. This should be noted on the getting started guide to avoid any confusion for people like me. ;)

I do appreciate the help that has been provided though!
